We take the south access (route 68) through Cerrillos, la Merced and el Carril, then we make a turn and take route 33 to the west to travel through the Quebrada del Escoipe, las Goteras, the giant’s cave, the Condoreras (condor nests area), la Cuesta del Obispo

the Enchanted Valley to reach the mill stone, where we will leave the subtropical forest to drive in the Puna desert: national park Los Cardones, the recta de Tin Tin (traced by the Incas), and once we get to Payogasta we take national route 40 heading for La Poma where we will visit the Devil’s Bridge (trekking), the Black Field, volcano Los Gemelos, and the Incas Barns (part of the Inca trace).
On the two days trip besides from the already explained we include a visit to Cachi and a 6 hour trekking from the Enchanted Valley to la Condorera (condor nests area). |
